Well not really I mean thats like sayig a Mac user adapting to Windows either way isn't hard also family or clients are still average users who find Linux very easy to use
Again your first issue with both compiling and " fighting " with the OS is your using Arch
Never has to ever compile anything as I just install it while again packages more support a Ubuntu/debian based system and on arch is 3rd party community ports or uses got
And back to "fighting with the OS" never had to nor did any of my family or people I've moved to Linux, I just works and thy just update their systems and I don't have to touch it
Don't have much experience in track drums so u couldn't say
They dont even have to use wine and can just run their games natively but if for any reason they do they don't need to configure stuff, they can just install Lutris and press install on the game they want and done it installs for you
Anyone can use Linux you just install and use it, you can get help from friends or anyone just like for any new person for any operating system and it isn't hard for new users to set up and get started either again assuming they aren't wasting there time with Arch..
